Angela ‘Big Ang‘ Raiola may be gone, but her loved ones are making sure she’s not forgotten. Reporters have learned the Mob Wives star’s family threw a memorial in her honor.
“It was Angela’s husband Neil [Murphy]’s idea,” the late reality star’s former lawyer Stephen Spinelli told Radar of Big Ang’s Big Dance Party. “It will be disco themed, everything she liked.”
The memorial concert and celebration featured “surprise guests in music and TV.”
One hundred percent of the proceedings from the $30 tickets will be donated to drug abuse and LGBTQ charities.
“It’s causes Angela wanted to help,” he said. “We hope to raise a lot of money.”
The event took place on Saturday, July 16 in her hometown of Staten Island at Snug Harbor.
Raiola’s daughter Raquel is also behind the celebration, along with Murphy.
Although Raiola and Murphy were estranged at the time of her death, he was there for her during her final days.
“Her husband was there the whole time,” Raiola’s sister Janine Detore told Radar in February. “They didn’t have a fight. He loves my sister, he does.”
The VH1 star lost her battle to stage four brain and lung cancer on February 18.
