The drama between the Mob Wives cast is clearly not over yet.
Drita D’Avanzo revealed that she would be hosting an event with former co-stars Alicia DiMichele and Brittany Fogarty, as a tribute to the late Angela “Big Ang” Raiola. It had been said that a portion of the proceeds from this event would go to Ang’s family.
However, some drama began this week, after Karen Gravano posted on Instagram, stating that none of the proceeds from Drita, Alicia and Brittany’s event would actually go to Ang’s family.
“Sad that people want to keep using Angs name for personal gain and not want to take care of what was most important to her….HER FAMILY SMH,” Karen captioned the post, which Carla Facciolo also shared.
“Mob Wives” fans immediately began to believe that Karen and Carla were bashing Drita for saying some money from the event would go to Ang’s family.
Whether or not Karen and Carla were trying to diss Drita, Ang’s sister, Janine Detore, put the rumors to rest and confirmed that Drita wanted to donate the proceeds to Ang’s family, but she was not allowed to.
“[Drita] is a friend she wanted to help my sisters grandchildren with her heart the event she was doing in May she wanted to give to my sisters family @biggangvh1 due to unforeseen events this isn’t what is being done,” Janine captioned the post, which Drita shared on Instagram.
Carla followed Janine’s lead and confirmed that it was a promoter’s fault, not Drita’s.
“Ok ppl the post had nothing to do about Drita it was about a promoter!! Please let’s not get it twisted and start the BS!!” Carla tweeted.
