The Destiny Queen of Thieves comic book based on the look and attitude of model and actress Marissa Jade will be adapted into the big screen. Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming movie.
According to Variety, Ken Barbet (Father of Invention) will be directing the movie adaptation with Eric Sudberg (Behind the Stars: The Bernie Brillstein Story, Red Sequin) signed to pen the script. Framelight Productions’ Jeffrey D. Erb (Just Add Water) will produce the film. Framelight has optioned film rights from Jade and her collaborators on the comic, G. Tippet, G.W. Fisher and C.J. Henderson.
About Destiny: Queen of Thieves
Destiny is a master thief who lives in New York City, Wizard World describes. When another criminal attempts to pull a major heist in the city, Destiny works on sabotaging their mission and steals the rest of their assets as they flee the city. “She lives like Donald Trump on what she steals and looks good while doing it.” She can also be considered a female and modern version of Robin Hood, only darker and sexier.

Aside from the comic book, whose titular character, Destiny, is based on her look and attitude, Jade is an American model and actress currently known for starring as a regular in the Season 6 of VH-1’s Mob Wives. She also had appearances on other shows like The Good Wife, Law & Order, Gossip Girl, as well as in the movie, Elf.
Jade told Variety that she is “ecstatic” to see her comic book finally come to life. And adds that “This is going to be such an awesome project.”
