Renee Graziano, star of US reality show Mob Wives, is set to be amongst the stars entering the Celebrity Big Brother house this summer.
Celebrity Big Brother is a British television reality game show. The show follows a number of celebrity contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom built House. Each week, one of the housemates is evicted by a public vote, with the last housemate named the winner.
A source exclusively told The Sun: “Renee is set to be an explosive housemate – she takes no prisoners, and she won’t stand any nonsense.
“Producers think she’ll bring controversy from the get go – and anyone who crosses her will regret it.
“She’s one of the most recognisable reality stars in the States, Mob Wives was a huge hit there.”
The chances are that she’ll also be the loudest person in the house, and viewers can expect plenty of expletive-laden tirades.
Some of her most memorable moments in the show included the threat, “Do you know what war is with me?”, and “I’ll cut her f**king hair off with her own scissors.”
Renee, 48, starred on Mob Wives for six years before quitting during the filming of the sixth and final series last summer.
She was at the heart of many of the show’s big storylines, and regularly argued with the other women featured on the show – leading to one critic to describe the show as being, “the angriest of the ‘Real Housewives’ ratcheted up into overdrive.”
In 2013 Renee was admitted to rehab to help her deal with addiction issues – and she claimed she’s addicted to being depressed, not prescription pills.
She said: “I’m a depression addict, not a drug addict. I don’t do drugs to get high. I did drugs to not feel anything.
“I’m a domestic violence survivor, a date rape survivor. So I’ve been through way more than people even know. Medication became the best way for me to handle it.”
“It’s a battle. There are days where I wanna pop Xanax and sleep and wake up and everything is okay.
“I don’t count days because I feel it puts too much pressure on me.”
Renee was also best friends with co-star Angela ‘Big Ang’ Raiola who was forced to withdraw from last summer’s series of CBB after being diagnosed with cancer.
Big Ang died in February, leaving Renee devastated – although she reportedly started dating a man she met at her pal’s funeral.
The pair were spotted at City Lobster in Midtown on Thursday, where Renee was heard telling a waitress, before Ang’s passing, I asked her to help me meet someone normal.
“But Ang said, ‘I only know wiseguys.’ Then all of a sudden at her wake, a guy taps me on the shoulder… Starts a conversation and asks for my number. I thank Ang every day for helping me find him.”
Renee was on the show as her dad Anthony Graziano is a rumored boss in the Bonnano crime family, and her ex-husband – and the father of her son AJ – Hector Pagan Junior is also a professional crook.
However, off-screen drama tore Renee’s family apart her ex-husband wore a wire for the FBI and landed Antony in jail.
He was later locked up for 11 years after admitting he had been involved in a fatal robbery.
Now Renee has to live with the shame of her child’s father being a “rat” – and in a shocking video filmed in a nightclub toilet, she announced that she would “spit on him” if she ever saw him, and that he was “dead” to her.
A show insider said: “Renee is all about loyalty – can you imagine how heated things will get during face to face nominations?
“She’ll be the most compelling American housemate we’ve ever had.”
